First of all, I would like you all to scroll up and look at my sister’s epic balayage. I’ll wait.
*sigh* Someday, my hair will grow past my shoulders, but I am quite sure that it will never reach that level of epicness. Also, this would be a good time to state that we really are biological sisters. If you were to see a picture of us with my mom in the middle, it would all make sense. Without it, you will just have to trust me!
After that random detour, let’s talk about my outfit!
I know it is a bit early in the season to be picking out Independence Day outfits, but I’m going to go ahead and stick this one on the calendar for myself. I really liked the way the light blue works with the red. This light blue shirt is not the chambray one I recently thrifted, although it looks very similar! In person, though, it looks and feels a lot dressier than chambray. I also put this shirt through a lot of grief on Saturday, and it held up admirably with only a minimal amount of wrinkles, which makes me very happy about this shirt’s longevity in my closet! I hate, hate clothes that wrinkle.
The skirt, watch, and shoes you have seen before, and you will most definitely see them again!
Random story: I was actually planning a completely different outfit for this day. I was going to keep the same shoes and accessories, but wear an old navy lace dress I had with my denim jacket. Everything was going to plan until I put on the dress and realized that it had shrunk. I frantically dug around in my closet and came up with this outfit! And then I passed the dress down to my youngest sister, who was, unbeknownst to me, frantically searching for something to wear next Saturday for her senior pictures. One sister’s accidental shrinking is another sister’s outfit salvation!
